The Executive Director of Marketing, Surgical, will focus on product sales across the Surgical Profile, leading both HCP and Consumer engagement activities, and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive brand strategy and market initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead and bring to life a brand strategy by working with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and develop Advisory Board execution to support the Surgical Business
  • Partner with Pharma Team for KOL, Customer and Shared Business Initiatives
  • Work closely with Tradeshow and Conference Teams to provide branding and optimal customer engagements
  • Seek and partner with high performing ad agencies to deliver projects under budget
  • Lead and develop upstream and downstream marketing activities for both HCP and Consumers
  • Lead cross-functional launch teams including Medical, R&D, Sales, Trade, Finance, Operations, PR, and Market Research
  • Build strong relationships and engage with HCPs to gain insights
  • Work closely with sales/field management to ensure seamless launches
  • Collaborate with R&D to develop a pipeline
  • Plan, execute, and measure brand initiatives
  • Prepare and deliver marketing presentations for executive leadership and stakeholders
  • Support the development of annual operating plans, sales targets, and revenue/expense forecasts
  • Manage budgets effectively
  • Build and mentor a results-oriented team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field; MBA/Master's preferred
  • Marketing experience required, with 10+ years preferred
  • Experience in eye care marketing is a strong plus
  • Surgical experience is preferred
  • Ability to drive strategy across broad marketing mix including digital, social media, and print initiatives
  • Experience managing or leading within a complex matrix organization
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, team-based culture
  • Proven skills in HCP and DTC brand marketing, market and competitive analysis, and marketing program development
  • Experience in project planning and management, managing financial information
  • Ability to deliver presentations to senior management
  • Domestic travel required, approximately 20% overnight travel

Nice to Have

  • Experience in eye care marketing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • MBA/Master's preferred
  • 10+ years of marketing experience
