About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with numerous product teams focused on creating user-centric products that delight customers and drive the business.
• Understand and empathize with users by supporting Customer Research activities including interviews, contextual observation, and surveys.
• Use personas and other data to understand customer problems, behaviors, and goals.
• Focus on user problems utilizing journey maps, user flows, UX canvases, or other artifacts to identify design solutions.
• Maintain and follow operational procedures and processes.
• Participate in weekly/monthly department meetings.
• Assist in working on new technology platforms revolutionizing the retail industry.
• Engage with peers on committees that include philanthropy, branding, and community events.
• Participate in intern programs that support technical and leadership development within the organization.

Requirements

• Open to students pursuing a degree in Product Design, Visual Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields.
• Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred GPA of 3.0.
• Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work.
• Desired technical majors preferred.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in groups or independently.
• Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organization.
• Ability to analyze and interpret information and apply it to business needs.
• Commitment to providing customer service.
• Applicants must have work authorization that does not require sponsorship of a visa for employment in the US.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a retail environment.
• Experience with user research activities and design artifacts.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field with a preferred GPA of 3.0.
