About the Role

The FlexPoint Sales Account Manager serves as a member of the FlexPoint Sales Team, managing existing customer accounts and seeking out new customers by focusing on relationship-building and consultative sales strategies. The role involves driving revenue and market share within a defined region, developing trusted advisor relationships with clients, and coordinating with internal teams to support customer success. The position is based in California and supports the mission of equipping students for success through effective digital learning solutions at Florida Virtual School and FlexPoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and market share in a defined region.
  • Find and close new sales opportunities while growing and renewing established client partnerships in the assigned region.
  • Lead consultative discussions with prospective and existing clients.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle for prospective and established clients, ensuring timely progression of Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQL).
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with clients and recommend products and services for virtual and blended implementation for K-12 districts, state agencies, and educational organizations.
  • Create a path-to-goal strategy for the assigned region.
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators.
  • Engage in professional learning opportunities and maintain an active presence on social media networks such as LinkedIn.
  • Communicate and present effectively at all organizational levels, including executive management and Boards.
  • Work cooperatively with FlexPoint and FLVS teams, including Customer Success and Implementation Teams.
  • Travel to assigned regions to prospect, deliver presentations, facilitate customer meetings, and consultations.
  • Meet professional obligations through effective work habits, including meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Education, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience working directly in the education marketplace (preferred).
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce technology and CRM (preferred).
  • Thorough understanding of negotiating techniques.
  • Prospecting skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to function effectively in a high-demand environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to analyze, review, categorize, prioritize, and interpret data.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the education marketplace.
  • Experience with Salesforce technology and CRM.
