The Senior Data Strategist plays a central role in bridging insights and execution across creative, media, technology, and analytics. This individual will guide how data is structured, interpreted, and applied to inform everything from audience segmentation to campaign personalization to performance measurement. The role requires a strong foundation in digital marketing strategy and a passion for making data actionable, leading efforts to unlock smarter, faster, and more effective marketing across channels. The company, Saatchi & Saatchi, values close collaboration, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, and measurable results, with a hybrid work policy of three days in-office and two days remote each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect holistic data strategies that connect 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-party data sources to inform targeting, content, and media strategies.
  • Translate marketing goals into measurable KPIs, audience strategies, and data-informed messaging frameworks.
  • Develop, refine, and implement robust DCO strategies that leverage real-time data signals to deliver relevant creative variants to target audiences.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to design end-to-end data ecosystems supporting scalable personalization, decisioning, and performance measurement.
  • Assess and clean incoming client data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Normalize disparate data sources (e.g., CRM exports, pixel data, media platform data) to enable unified campaign measurement and insights.
  • Develop schemas and mapping logic to structure data for dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics workflows.
  • Collaborate with client-side IT/BI teams and internal analytics partners to ensure data pipelines are functional and reliable.
  • Support ETL workflows using SQL, Python, and BI tools like Looker or Tableau.
  • Develop and validate audience segmentation strategies using behavioral, contextual, and demographic inputs.
  • Convert raw data and audience signals into actionable marketing opportunities, informing messaging, channel selection, and personalization.
  • Create data-informed journey maps and content frameworks for full-funnel creative and media efforts.
  • Lead development of structured testing roadmaps including AB tests, multivariate tests, and personalization experiments.
  • Work with analytics teams to interpret campaign results, identify drivers of performance, and extract actionable insights.
  • Establish feedback loops and learning agendas to improve creative, media, and targeting effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze performance data using dashboards, attribution models, and platform analytics (e.g., DV360, Meta, Trade Desk).
  • Identify optimization opportunities and translate insights into strategic pivots.
  • Deliver insights and performance narratives to clients and internal teams to support decision-making.
  • Serve as a strategic bridge across creative, media, account, and analytics teams to ensure insights are integrated into campaign development.
  • Educate teams and clients on data strategy best practices, tools, and trends in marketing analytics and personalization.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through case studies, presentations, and whitepapers showcasing data strategy applications.
