About the Role

The Global Director of Growth Marketing at Spotify Advertising will lead and accelerate growth marketing strategies aimed at acquiring, retaining, and expanding audience segments worldwide. This role involves managing a high-performing team, developing innovative marketing approaches, and collaborating across functions to achieve revenue and growth objectives within a fast-paced, global environment. The position reports to the Head of Ad Business Marketing and is integral to inspiring advertisers and marketers to connect with billions of fans through Spotify's platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team to implement and scale successful growth strategies and lifecycle marketing efforts that drive tangible results.
  • Mentor and coach team across the globe to deliver effective marketing ideas and develop a growth-minded team culture.
  • Own paid user acquisition across various channels and experiment with new ones; establish how to use, manage, and grow CRM.
  • Ideate fresh B2B growth marketing approaches rooted in data, insights, and creativity.
  • Partner closely with Brand B2B marketing and Sales Leadership to develop effective messaging and marketing programs that achieve revenue goals.
  • Ensure all messages align with a unified customer journey.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across brand content, partnerships, events, and product marketing to maintain consistent messaging and align on strategy.
  • Manage marketing operations, including budget, resource planning, agency relationships, vendor management, and ad tech stack.
  • Analyze data inputs to generate actionable insights and recommendations for executive teams.
  • Utilize customer data and market insights to inform marketing execution.
  • Advocate for experimentation through A/B testing and optimization strategies across ad assets, landing pages, targeting, media tactics, and channels.
  • Set learning agendas and share reports with relevant teams.
  • Manage multiple collaborators across NA, EMEA, JAPAC, and LATAM, streamlining processes for global impact.
  • Represent the company as an excellent presenter.
  • Proactively generate ideas and effectively execute them.
  • Anticipate changes in the international advertising market and lead market innovation.
  • Maintain a passion for the Spotify Advertising platform, including data, ad products, podcasts, and measurement tools.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree.
  • Deep experience in running performance media campaigns with a proven track record of managing multi-million dollar paid media budgets to accelerate customer acquisition and improve ROAS in a global context.
  • 15+ years of marketing experience in EMEA, LATAM, or JAPAC, either agency or in-house.
  • Business marketing experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking and team leadership skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the international advertising and marketing landscape.
  • Ability to deliver measurable outcomes such as revenue, ROI, ROAS, and opt-in rates.
  • Success in acquiring users for consumer-facing, product-led growth companies.
  • Experience with paid media strategies across search, social, affiliate, and influencer channels.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and operational skills to rally cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing a global brand and understanding regional and local business contexts.
  • Subject matter expertise in media landscape including programmatic, walled gardens, performance, and brand KPIs.
  • Experience with automated marketing tools and ad tech platforms.
  • Confident presentation skills and ability to influence senior executives.
