Key Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains relationships with new and existing reinsurance clients, developing strategies and goals for the development and management of these accounts.
  • Understand the client's business and their reinsurance needs and applies knowledge of risks and the reinsurance market to find and arrange suitable reinsurance coverage and policies.
  • Acts in the interest of the clients and offers products from more than one reinsurer to secure the optimal reinsurance solution.
  • Identifies revenue opportunities among new and existing clients by creating demand and awareness of the organization's products.
  • Achieves revenue targets through client retention and increasing new business.
  • Establishes key elements of long-term function strategy and short-medium term tactical and operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the Division.
  • Develops new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of the organization's functional strategy.
  • Handles problems that are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis.
  • Sets, manages, and executes sub function medium-term strategy.
  • May have budget or P&L accountability for area of responsibility, or manage elements of the budget.
  • Responsible for improving upon existing processes and systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation.
  • Interacts with executive leadership and others concerning matters of importance for responsible area.

Requirements

  • Requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
