The Summer 2026 Commercial Leadership & Insights Program offers a 10 to 12-week internship providing hands-on experience, project work, industry skills training, and networking opportunities within our Commercial Data & Analytics organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience by working on a project tied directly to Amgen's strategic and tactical goals within the Commercial Data & Analytics organization.
  • Apply analytical thinking, deductive reasoning, and scientific knowledge to support business and strategic decisions.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape of a therapeutic area and transform information into practical insights.
  • Craft financial models to estimate future performance using patient/volume data and market research assumptions.
  • Provide customer insights from healthcare providers, patients, and payers through surveys, interviews, and research methodologies.
  • Translate business questions into data queries and interpret analysis to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Participate in regular touchpoints with managers and stakeholders, and deliver a final project presentation at the end of the internship.
  • Develop professional skills, address real-life business needs, and network with staff and departments.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older.
  • Graduated with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA, Master's, PharmD, or PhD program at an accredited college or university, with the first year completed before the internship starts.
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the internship or co-op assignment.
  • Must not be employed at the start of the internship.
  • Located in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Nice to Have

  • Currently enrolled PhD student in STEM, Economics, Finance, Biotech.
  • Currently enrolled PharmD or Master's student in STEM, Economics, Finance, or Biotechnology.
  • Graduation within 12 months following internship completion.
  • Familiarity with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Use of innovative analytical techniques and technologies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, adaptable, and resourceful.
  • Ability to operate independently and cross-functionally.

Qualifications

  • Educational background as specified in requirements.
  • Demonstrated use of analytical techniques and industry knowledge (preferred).
