Key Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience by working on a project tied directly to strategic and tactical goals within the Commercial Data & Analytics organization.
  • Apply transferable skills of analytical thinking, deductive reasoning, and scientific knowledge to analyze data and generate insights.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape of a therapeutic area, identify trends, and transform information into practical insights.
  • Craft financial models to estimate future performance using patient/volume data and support strategy design.
  • Provide customer insights from healthcare providers, patients, insurance payers, and other stakeholders to advise business strategy decisions.
  • Translate business questions into data queries and interpret analysis to provide actionable recommendations to business leaders.
  • Participate in regular touchpoints with managers and stakeholders, learn SOPs, and deliver a final project presentation.
  • Potentially be enrolled into a 3-year full-time rotation program upon graduation, tackling various functions within the commercial organization.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older and graduated with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA, Master's, PharmD, or PhD program at an accredited college or university, with the first year completed before the internship starts.
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship begins and must be located in the United States during the internship.
  • Familiarity with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated use of innovative analytical techniques and technologies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, adaptable, and resourceful.
  • Ability to operate independently and across functions.

Nice to Have

  • Currently enrolled PhD student in STEM, Economics, Finance, Biotech, or related fields.
  • Currently enrolled PharmD or Master's student in relevant fields.
  • Graduation within 12 months following internship completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Enrollment in an advanced degree program (MBA, Master's, PharmD, PhD) with first-year completion prior to start.
