About the Role

This position serves as a publication and graphic arts designer for the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), within the Environmental Support Division (ESD). Included in the responsibilities are the design, formatting, editing, and development of various standard EGLE publication projects for print and online distribution, including fact sheets, brochures, pamphlets, manuals, posters, signs, and materials used for EGLE displays and promotional needs. This position also assists with coordinating printing services for EGLE programs upon request.

Requirements

Two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) with coursework in art, art education, or graphic art design.
One year of experience in commercial art or graphic presentation for the Graphic Arts Designer 9 level.
Two years of experience in commercial art or graphic presentation, including one year equivalent to a Graphic Arts Designer 9, for the Graphic Arts Designer 10 level.
Three years of experience in commercial art or graphic presentation, including one year equivalent to a Graphic Arts Designer 10, for the Graphic Arts Designer E11.

Qualifications

Experience in graphic arts or commercial art.
Educational background in art, art education, or graphic art design.
