Graphic Designer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style, to meet the Communications Strategy objectives.
• Provide technical assistance in the design, production, communication, and dissemination of information products.
• Design an infographic report of the Secretary-General's report on the UN Verification Mission in Colombia.
• Design multimedia and graphics products such as videos, brochures, images, animated presentations, social media posts, and others related to the UNVMC's Communications strategy, including shooting, filming, editing, and post-production using Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.
• Support the elaboration of print and digital arts materials as required.
• Perform photo-retouching and image editing for all digital and print materials.
• Support the roll-out of an internal communications strategy regarding the mandates.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• A first-level university degree in graphic design or related area.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in Graphic Design and/or related field.
• Experience in animation and Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Fluency in oral and written Spanish.
• Working knowledge of English is desirable.
• Experience in concept creation and production execution is desirable.
• Experience in projects and videos with national public and private organizations for education campaigns is desirable.

Nice to Have

• Experience in animation and Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, typography and/or composition.
• Experience in projects and videos with national public and private organizations for education campaigns.
• Experience in concept creation and production execution.
• Working knowledge of English.

Qualifications

• First-level university degree in graphic design or related area.
• At least two years of relevant experience in graphic design or related field.
