Group Director, Commercial Marketing - Diagnostic Solutions

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the commercial marketing team.
• Foster collaboration across departments including sales, product management, medical and sales education, market access, and commercial operations.
• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's commercial objectives to drive revenue growth.
• Create customer segmentation strategies through market insights and analytics to enhance revenue.
• Collaborate with sales and product teams to align marketing campaigns with business goals.
• Design, implement, and improve commercial marketing processes to ensure operational excellence and high team performance.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators such as sales pipeline growth, customer acquisition and retention, and marketing ROI.
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor positioning, and industry trends.
• Ensure effective brand positioning and oversee the creation of marketing materials and messaging.
• Leverage digital channels including social media, email, website, SEO, and advertising to drive growth.
• Develop and manage the marketing budget to maximize resource efficiency and ROI.
• Develop strategies to improve customer experience and engagement, supporting the field team with training and communication.
• Support sales team and key customers in customer meetings.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time to attend meetings and support business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, product management, or a related field (MBA often preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in marketing, product management, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of leadership or director-level experience.
• Strong strategic thinking and market research skills.
• Experience in developing value propositions, messaging, and targeted campaigns.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
• Problem-solving skills and creative solution development.
• Advanced product knowledge, preferably in the medical or diagnostics field.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry trends, challenges, and regulations.
• Deep understanding of customer segments, buying patterns, and decision-making processes.
• Experience in vendor management, including negotiating and managing vendors.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the medical devices and diagnostics sector.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and processes in lab or radiology environments.
• Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms.
• Strong network within healthcare or diagnostics industry.

Qualifications

• Educational background: Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred).
• Experience: 10+ years in marketing or related fields, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
