About the Role

The Group Sales Account Manager at Dental Health Services is responsible for the growth, development, and maintenance of the company's clients, including groups and brokers. The role involves building strong relationships, responding to RFPs, conducting informational meetings, and supporting account retention and expansion within an assigned territory. Key Responsibilities

  • Work with brokers to develop new business opportunities and respond to all broker requests including RFPs.
  • Identify and solicit applicable groups for plan sign-up and participation/membership.
  • Follow up on all RFPs and build positive relationships with existing accounts to ensure retention through proactive service and responsiveness.
  • Seek opportunities for account expansion and renewal, developing referrals and potential growth.
  • Resolve issues related to plan participation and member concerns for existing groups.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing enrollment meetings, plan guide presentations, health fairs, and informational sessions.
  • Service all groups with over 20 employees to establish and maintain relationships with group stakeholders.
  • Facilitate renewal negotiations, including financial and utilization reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and management to provide renewal plan design and alternatives.
  • Maintain current group files, report significant changes, and develop required reports accurately and timely.
  • Support group participation growth and support groups and members effectively.
  • Address and resolve group, member, and broker issues, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to achieve performance goals and improve processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all activities.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, or managing B2B relationships with brokers in the insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in regulations related to marketing, benefits, enrollment, and other guidelines governed by regulatory agencies.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of sales and service operations in a dental plan member/provider environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Appropriate personal transportation (mileage reimbursed).
  • Willingness to travel throughout the West coast, averaging 2-3 overnight trips per month.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
