About the Role

Join our exceptional team at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill as a Group Sales Manager (Mid-Market). This full-time role involves driving revenue through strategic sales initiatives in a 838-room hotel undergoing a transformational renovation. Key Responsibilities

  • Sell guest rooms, meeting spaces, and other Hyatt services to mid-market groups (50-150 rooms) and larger accounts.
  • Manage and nurture a diverse portfolio of clients, conducting site inspections and generating new business opportunities.
  • Develop new markets and effectively engage a seasoned client base with high expectations.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals while maintaining organized documentation and reports.
  • Utilize Hyatt systems to enhance sales processes and ensure seamless customer service.
  • Actively participate in and potentially lead sales meetings.

Requirements

  • Sales manager experience in a hotel environment or hotel sales force preferred.
  • A genuine desire to meet the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven group sales experience in a hotel, preferably with meeting space.
  • Track record of achieving sales goals and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in general computer applications.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with hotel sales processes and systems.
  • Experience with developing new markets and engaging high-expectation clients.

Qualifications
