About the Role

Holland America Line, a premium cruise brand known for its timeless elegance and exceptional guest experiences, is seeking a Manager, Onboard Marketing to join their shipboard team. The role involves executing onboard marketing and communication strategies that enhance the guest journey, ensuring brand consistency across all guest-facing channels, and collaborating with shoreside teams to implement marketing initiatives, manage communications, and optimize performance. The position also includes overseeing reporting on marketing effectiveness and managing print shop operations to support operational efficiency and brand excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of marketing and communication strategies that elevate the guest experience and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Manage all guest-facing messaging, ensuring alignment with brand standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with shoreside teams to develop and approve timely, relevant content.
  • Oversee content across digital platforms—including onboard TV, signage, the Navigator app, and push notifications—as well as printed materials.
  • Lead print shop operations, including team management, budgeting, and inventory control.
  • Maintain the quality and brand compliance of all onboard signage and printed collateral, coordinating updates and replacements as needed.
  • Input and validate voyage schedules and onboard events to ensure timely and accurate guest communications.
  • Provide training on marketing tools and ensure compliance with communication standards, including credit card program guidelines.
  • Serve as the onboard lead for marketing, public relations, and partnership initiatives—managing asset delivery, messaging rollout, and team coordination.
  • Coordinate content capture for marketing and PR use, ensuring quality and legal compliance.
  • Represent the brand at select guest events and receptions as part of the hotel officer team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, business management, or sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and publishing tools such as Publisher or InDesign.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to bend, climb, perform repetitive motions, and lift heavy items as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to travel by air to and from vessels as scheduled.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Adobe InDesign or similar publishing tools.
  • Experience in a shipboard or hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to guest communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in marketing, business management, or sales.
