About the Role

The Head of Account Management, Advertising at Roku is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing the strategic account management function for Roku's largest Holding Companies and Agency Account Management Teams. This role is crucial in maintaining and expanding client relationships, ensuring the delivery of exceptional advertising deals, and driving overall organizational growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of account managers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic account management plans to drive client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align account management strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Serve as the contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Oversee the delivery of tailored advertising solutions that meet client objectives and exceed expectations.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess performance, identify opportunities, and address any issues.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of programmatic advertising to guide the development and execution of advanced ad strategies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure Roku remains at the forefront of programmatic innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to leverage data and technology for optimized campaign performance.
  • Oversee operational aspects of account management, ensuring efficient processes, resource allocation, and compliance.
  • Implement performance metrics and reporting systems to monitor and improve team and campaign performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the account management team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to support upsell and renewal strategies.
  • Serve as a senior stakeholder in enterprise client relationships, offering executive oversight and empowering account managers to deliver value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in account management within the advertising media industry.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large teams.
  • Experience running and leading large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic/ad tech ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale operations and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and focus on business growth.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior sales leadership.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with TV & Digital advertising agency dynamics.
  • Deep understanding of agency relationships and client management in advertising.
  • Experience with enterprise client relationships at a senior level.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in advertising media account management.
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing large teams.
