Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy to engage external and internal stakeholders, aligning with Airbus values, culture, and purpose.
  • Ensure the Airbus brand voice is consistent and clear, using storytelling to simplify technical concepts and connect with diverse audiences.
  • Strengthen Airbus visibility and relevance among key stakeholders, reinforcing industry leadership and supporting brand-building efforts in the U.S. market.
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to produce compelling employee communications such as intranet articles, newsletters, and executive messages.
  • Oversee the distribution of internal content across appropriate channels and monitor engagement to improve relevance and effectiveness.
  • Lead the creation of external content, ensuring an integrated 360° communication approach.
  • Work with stakeholders to align content for campaign timelines, product announcements, and market positioning.
  • Manage the production of audiovisual content including videos, graphics, webinars, and scripts, ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement.
  • Guide audiovisual projects from development to delivery, ensuring creative quality and technical accuracy.
  • Manage content operations by overseeing editorial calendars, workflows, and digital asset management systems.
  • Leverage data and performance metrics to optimize content effectiveness.
  • Lead strategic content initiatives and explore new distribution formats or campaign approaches.
  • Mentor and guide the content team, fostering skills development and cross-department collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • 12+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or communications, including managing and mentoring a team.
  • Experience in aerospace and in a global, matrixed organization is preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to craft a consistent brand voice and simplify technical concepts.
  • Strong understanding of multi-channel content strategy and digital platforms, ensuring coherent messaging.
  • Knowledge of content analytics tools and current digital media trends.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience managing a communications team and working with leadership.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and digital asset management tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10-15%).
  • Ability to work onsite approximately 60% in Herndon, VA, and remotely 40%.
  • Able to operate standard office equipment and participate in activities requiring physical mobility as needed.

  • Experience in aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of emerging media formats such as interactive media and virtual events.
  • Additional language skills, especially French.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field; Master's preferred.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in content and communications roles.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
