About the Role

The Head of DISH Acquisition at EchoStar is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing the overall marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition and long-term profitability for the DISH TV brand. The marketing and advertising teams focus on high-level messaging, media campaigns, and innovative communication strategies to support the company's growth and brand story.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the holistic acquisition marketing strategy for DISH TV, creating a comprehensive plan to achieve subscriber growth targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Oversee strategic budget allocation across all marketing channels (including Direct Mail, Digital, TV/Video) to maximize profitability and return on investment.
  • Define and monitor top-level KPIs for the entire acquisition funnel, partnering with Finance and Analytics to build forecasting and media mix models that inform investment decisions.
  • Work cross-functionally with IT, Sales, Finance, and other teams to develop, launch, and test new offers and strategies to increase acquisitions and profitability.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and strategic direction for the direct mail program, managing budgets, execution, and reporting.
  • Oversee the credit pre-qualification program, leveraging data partners for targeted marketing and optimizing creative, offers, and segmentation through A/B testing.
  • Continuously analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and consumer behavior to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Influence channel managers and partners to execute strategic vision and foster a culture of performance and accountability.
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals, providing direction, feedback, and support for success and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in performance marketing, customer acquisition, or growth marketing for a consumer-facing brand.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful full-funnel acquisition strategies with P&L responsibility.
  • Experience managing large, multi-channel marketing budgets with effective capital allocation.
  • Exceptional financial acumen, including understanding of customer lifetime value (LTV), subscriber acquisition cost (SAC), and payback periods.
  • Deep understanding of offline (Direct Mail, TV) and online (SEM, Social, Programmatic) marketing channels and their integration.
  • Significant experience in direct response marketing, with hands-on expertise in direct mail preferred.
  • World-class analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence over cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating vision and results to stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in direct response marketing, especially direct mail, is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in performance or growth marketing roles.
