About the Role

The Head of Marketing, US - Asset Management role at HSBC is responsible for leading the marketing strategy in the US and supporting global initiatives within the Asset Management business. The role involves managing the US marketing team, developing strategies to support revenue growth, brand development, and customer engagement across institutional and wholesale client segments. It requires collaboration across various stakeholders and a focus on translating business opportunities into effective marketing activities, all within HSBC's broader purpose of opening up new opportunities for customers and creating a better world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the US marketing strategy and support global Product Marketing initiatives for XB capabilities/products.
  • Manage the US marketing team and support global marketing projects and initiatives.
  • Translate business opportunities into marketing strategies by analyzing consumer insights, data, and business opportunities.
  • Work across stakeholders including Marketing, Analytics, Insights, Products, Propositions, Compliance, Legal, PR, and Agencies.
  • Develop strategies related to acquisition, engagement, brand development, and customer experience for specific customer segments (Institutional & Wholesale).
  • Collaborate with marketing teams across countries/regions to align with global business ambitions.
  • Apply creative problem-solving and a test-and-learn approach to marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the asset management industry and revenue drivers.
  • Prioritize activities based on customer and business impact and manage project delivery with strong project management skills.

Requirements

  • Post Graduate / Degree in business studies and marketing preferred.
  • Broad-based business experience, ideally within the Asset Management industry.
  • Experience in developing multi-channel campaigns, including research, proposition development, and digital content management.
  • Proven experience in delivering customer communications in a regulatory environment.
  • Ability to influence leadership and work across multiple teams and sites.
  • Strong understanding of customer insights and their application in communications and product development.
  • Innovative thinking and ability to shape new concepts.
  • Experience managing agencies and driving value from resources.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and project management skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (HSBC does not sponsor visas for this role).
  • Experience working with institutional and wholesale client audiences and delivering digital marketing initiatives.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on scale agile implementations and familiarity with collaboration tools such as Monday, Confluence, Jira, and Slack.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing at a basic level.

Qualifications

  • Post Graduate / Degree in business studies and marketing (preferred).
  • Experience in asset management or related financial services industry.
  • Proven success in campaign strategy, multi-channel marketing, and content management.
  • Experience managing teams and working across multiple sites.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
