About the Role

The Healthcare Industry Architect at Palo Alto Networks is responsible for developing and promoting a healthcare industry point of view and architecture based on Palo Alto Networks solutions and platform areas. The role involves acting as a strategic advisor to healthcare clients, driving adoption and sales of cybersecurity solutions, creating content and architectural diagrams, and evangelizing the company's offerings to both C-level executives and practitioners. The position requires collaboration with sales, marketing, and partner teams to grow the healthcare business in North America and to position Palo Alto Networks as a leader in healthcare cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and create a Healthcare Industry Point of View and Architecture based on Palo Alto Networks Solution and Platform Areas.
  • Drive a 'solution sales' mindset translating healthcare use cases to Palo Alto Network Solutions and Offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership to foster a consultative sales culture working with major healthcare providers in North America.
  • Accountability with sales leaders to drive key performance metrics of bookings and pipeline to grow the healthcare business.
  • Develop and contribute to a healthcare industry point of view tied to Palo Alto offerings for current and future healthcare use cases.
  • Coach and enable healthcare teams utilizing standard methodologies and playbooks.
  • Help present, speak, and drive thought leadership at industry events and consortia such as HIMSS, Healthcare ISAC, and others.

Requirements

  • Understanding of the Healthcare Provider Market and current industry trends.
  • Ability to speak confidently to C-level audiences and healthcare practitioners about cybersecurity strategies.
  • Strong architectural sales background with knowledge of Palo Alto products and developing architectural roadmaps.
  • In-depth healthcare industry experience with success in providing industry points of view and strategic solutions.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive responsibility in healthcare sales and/or cybersecurity selling.
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto Solutions and Offerings and their differentiated value proposition.
  • Bachelor of Science or Business degree; MBA or equivalent military experience strongly preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, business maturity, and good judgment.
  • Ability to motivate teams, handle analytical initiatives, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in developing and presenting at industry events and consortia.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and partners.
  • Ability to build strong professional rapport with internal clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or Business degree; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in healthcare sales and/or cybersecurity sales.
