About the Role

The Healthcare System Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote hospital services, enhance reputation, and support growth initiatives. The role involves collaboration with leadership, vendors, and teams to ensure effective marketing efforts, media relations, and community outreach within a healthcare network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with CHS Regional Marketing Director/VP, CHS teams, vendors, and hospital leadership to identify and recommend marketing strategies.
  • Works with hospital leadership, CHS leads, and approved marketing vendors to establish and execute annual marketing plans.
  • Ensures strong, actionable creative and promotional efforts are in place.
  • Influences colleagues to optimize marketability and create seamless consumer-to-patient pathways.
  • Leverages the marketing budget to drive volume and maintain a positive reputation.
  • Serves as the marketing expert within the facility, communicating strategies with knowledge and conviction to stakeholders.
  • Measures, tracks, and communicates ROI and KPIs related to marketing projects.
  • Guides market research programs when appropriate and approved.
  • Serves as hospital media contact and spokesperson when appropriate.
  • Seeks positive media coverage to support the network’s image and growth of services.
  • Maintains internal communications to support employee engagement and workplace culture.
  • Establishes and oversees community outreach strategies, including messaging, sponsorships, and events.
  • Stays informed of market share, service line performance, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Oversees network websites to ensure content is optimized, current, compliant, and consumer-oriented.
  • Manages online reputation by monitoring and responding to patient reviews and ratings.
  • Oversees organic social media plans.
  • Supervises the network marketing team, organizing projects around objectives and timelines.
  • Supports physician alignment efforts and affiliated medical group performance.
  • Ensures compliance with marketing guidelines and corporate policies.
  • Participates in marketing education webinars and utilizes provided tools and templates.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Understanding of digital and print design.
  • Strong organizational skills to support multiple projects.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of direct marketing experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Reasonable leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and act on insights that drive business results.

  • Professional writing skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of direct marketing experience, preferably in healthcare.
