About the Role

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design. Canva's Higher Education Account Executive team is dedicated to helping educational institutions create stunning visual content that inspires and engages students. The role involves working closely with universities to drive growth, foster relationships, and support the deployment of Canva across campus departments, with a focus on educational outcomes and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning the university lifecycle, including strategy, planning, execution, and results within identified universities alongside a Higher Education Advisor to drive MAU growth.
  • Fostering relationships with university administration, onboarding professors and students via Single-Sign-on, and providing strategic sales support for successful deployment across campus departments.
  • Focusing on the Education community by establishing close relationships with educators and learners to understand their needs and inform product and marketing plans.
  • Utilizing data analysis to identify trends and usage patterns to improve engagement and retention strategies.
  • Driving retention and engagement by testing, learning, and iterating on lifecycle strategies within identified districts to build meaningful relationships.

Requirements

  • Experience with the Higher Education market and working with universities.
  • Familiarity with challenges and opportunities in instructional technology.
  • Ability to confidently engage with educators and technology specialists to demonstrate how Canva can enhance student learning.
  • Experience in sales, particularly selling education software solutions and instructional technology design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and share insights.
  • Understanding of how institutions roll out new student technology and manage large-scale deployments.
  • Strong communication skills to present ideas clearly and tell compelling stories.
  • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate plans into actionable steps.
  • Experience engaging online communities through social media and other channels.
  • A growth mindset, curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to learn and improve.

  • Experience in building and nurturing online communities.
  • Knowledge of social media channels for education engagement.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with universities and in instructional technology.
  • Proven sales expertise in education software solutions.
  • Strong communication and strategic planning skills.
