Hospice Care- Marketing Consultant

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies which achieve referral/admission growth objectives in coordination with Branch Manager and Patient Care Manager.
• Develops and implements marketing plan.
• Provides basis sales and marketing training and coaching to hospice staff members providing community outreach functions.
• Meets with area physicians, social services/discharge planners, nursing home administrators, spiritual community/churches, seniors, press/media, community organizations, and other referral sources to present the hospice program and improve community relationships.
• Participates in fund development activities through implementation of direct-mail appeals, memorial appeals, community awareness, and donor recognition events.
• Participates in community education presentations, including face-to-face contact and written correspondence, providing education and resource information to the community, patients, families, and physicians.

Requirements

• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Must have a driver's license.
• At least 1 year in hospice and sales environment.
• Implements sales and marketing plans for the hospice.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, patients, families, and co-workers.
• Must demonstrate basic knowledge of all procedures included in the job description.
• Must be able to read normal typewritten print.
• May be requested to work weekends, holidays, and after hours.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Required to drive up to 5 hours per day.
• Must be in the field Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.
• Belief in hospice services and ability to cope with patients, families, and others with varying backgrounds.

Nice to Have

• A bachelor's degree plus at least three years in professional healthcare sales is preferred.
