The HVAC Service Account Manager role involves managing customer accounts, leading service teams, and ensuring operational profitability within the HVAC sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide solutions to customers' HVAC needs.
  • Manage and lead team personnel including Service Managers, Service Coordinators, Service Technicians, and Dispatchers.
  • Manage and maintain control of account responsibility for profit and loss.
  • Monitor and manage the Accounts Receivable aging status to ensure collections per company terms and reduce aging to thirty days or less.
  • Coordinate staff necessary to provide prompt and accurate invoicing of service contracts, repairs, and projects.
  • Lead and mentor the service staff to expand their skill level and productivity.
  • Provide direction and delegation for operational and functional duties as outlined by management.
  • Review staffing requirements to meet the business plan and recommend necessary changes.
  • Provide staff performance reviews per company guidelines and assist HR in maintaining personnel records.
  • Create, build, and maintain strong customer relationships to generate new business.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and establish performance timelines.
  • Establish and oversee internal and external budgets with the company and clients.
  • Collaborate with sales, management, marketing, and other departments to ensure high service levels.
  • Work with the sales team to maximize profit through upselling or cross-selling.
  • Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and initiatives to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years or more of experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Profit and Loss operations.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to follow through on client contracts.
  • Proven results in delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple client accounts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact positively with all organizational levels.
  • Satisfactorily complete an industry aptitude test.
  • Strong organizational skills to achieve operational profitability and maintain records.
  • Building strong customer and employee relations.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurability.

Nice to Have

  • Previous work experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Previous HVAC Account management experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
