Key Responsibilities

  • Support Members' migration from legacy mapping and staking software to the next-generation platform.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Operations teams to resolve technical issues related to project deployment and software transitions.
  • Perform NISC GIS software implementations for member/customers, managing implementation projects end-to-end.
  • Validate and verify the accuracy of converted data.
  • Provide ongoing application support and deliver comprehensive training on all aspects of the application.
  • Address customer questions regarding product functionality and usage via telephone, email, or on-site visits.
  • Determine expectations and timelines of the Member's conversion process.
  • Prepare and monitor the Project Plan.
  • Identify gaps in features and functionality in software and oversee resolution.
  • Identify changes required for data conversion and complete conversion documents.
  • Assist in document preparation and communicate with all parties involved in the enterprise implementation.
  • Compile and analyze business requirements and evaluate operational processes for software conversions, migrations, and implementations.
  • Design and implement system set-up configurations for Members/Customers.
  • Design and deliver training to Member employees for 'live' week preparations.
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting, training, and ongoing support.
  • Prepare Change Requests (CRs) and follow-up to resolution.
  • Research difficult application problems, resolve issues, and recommend changes or enhancements.
  • Gather, maintain, and audit Member information in the configuration database.
  • Utilize support tools as directed and convey customer feedback to product development.
  • Perform on-site or remote training via Web Tools.
  • Provide after-hours support.
  • May prepare materials and deliver National IT Learning Center classes and Member Information Conference sessions.
  • Participate in design teams, testing of new products or enhancements, and other implementation areas as needed.
  • Travel to customer sites as necessary to meet business objectives.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of ArcGIS Enterprise Suite product experience (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcMap, ArcCatalog).
  • Provides superior customer support to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to determine expectations and timelines for software conversion processes.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with all parties involved in implementation.
  • Ability to compile and analyze business requirements and evaluate operational processes.
  • Design and implement system configurations independently and proficiently.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, train, and support customers effectively.
  • Research and resolve application problems, and recommend improvements.
  • Gather and audit Member information in configuration databases.
  • Ability to deliver remote or on-site training and support.
  • Ability to travel as often as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management processes and theory.
  • Basic knowledge of Service Level Management (SLM) best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and training skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong PC skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Support/implementation experience at NISC or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of NISC's products' features and functionality.
  • Knowledge of other integrated Utility industry applications and services.
  • Familiarity with the Energy or Communication industries, including operations and business requirements.
  • Experience with other integrated applications and services.
  • Experience in delivering training or classes at the National IT Learning Center.
  • Experience participating in design teams or testing new product development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience preferred.
