Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sales results for assigned book of accounts with large sales and potential ($8-10M+).
  • Acquire new business and grow sales as well as manage current customer base.
  • Map accounts and identify core and specialty category opportunities.
  • Create and maintain a solid understanding of accounts, build strategic growth plans, and identify new opportunities for growth and business development.
  • Prioritize account portfolio to understand accounts, develop strategic growth plans, and identify new opportunities for resource deployment.
  • Utilize enablement tools regularly to keep customer data updated, manage a healthy pipeline, and advance opportunities.
  • Know your products, customers, and vertical markets.
  • Utilize Salesforce on a regular basis.
  • Execute sales strategies through phone, social selling, email/digital communication, and on-site visits.
  • Leverage sales methodologies to retain and grow the customer base.

Requirements

  • Ability to interface at customer's most senior levels.
  • Strong ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Experience in consultative, solutions, insight selling, and negotiation.
  • Strong business, financial, operations, and technology acumen.
  • Ability to analyze customer data, business, and industry trends to create tailored solutions.
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years sales experience in Account Management and/or Business Development.
  • Must have the availability to travel up to 4 times per year.

Nice to Have

  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Prior experience working with large complex accounts.
  • Experience managing a sales quota and exceeding it.
  • Experience with business-to-business sales process.
  • Responsibility for retaining and growing accounts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years sales experience in Account Management and/or Business Development.
