Job Description

About the Role

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for selling Canon Medical's imaging solutions within the territory and is supported by sales specialists (RBMs), customer service, and customer applications. The role serves as the main point of contact to interface with customers and prospects within a defined sales territory. The Key Account Manager will be evaluated on sales volume/revenue and will help to drive the Sales Region's business targets. The position involves maintaining current Canon customers and developing new customers within competitive Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts, with a focus on diagnostic imaging products and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain a strategic plan for each Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer in the account list.
  • Ensure sales objectives are realized through exercising sales skills and knowledge of the product, territory, and customer.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to identify future sales needs and ensure existing service requirements are being met.
  • Evaluate and call on all customer accounts within the assigned territory and identify new account opportunities.
  • Develop and implement market penetration strategies to increase sales, leveraging competitive analysis and market research.
  • Update prospective sales opportunities and contacts using automated sales tools.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with customers, employees, and managerial staff.
  • Develop accurate and reliable sales forecasts.
  • Assist in coordinating site visits and provide effective resolution to problems to close sales opportunities.
  • Perform administrative functions efficiently and cost-effectively.

Requirements

  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Proven experience in consultative selling approach and developing and closing large contracts.
  • Experience with long sales cycles and working with sales quotas and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic imaging products and systems applications.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of prior sales experience within the medical imaging or related field.
  • Experience working with medical device or capital sales into departments such as radiology, cardiology, interventional radiology, cath-lab, or oncology is preferred.
  • 7 years of previous diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
