About the Role

The Key Account Manager (Denver Metro) at Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits is responsible for achieving customer objectives, KPIs, and targets by implementing strategies and managing customer relationships to ensure profitable long-term growth. The role involves leading sales efforts within assigned trade channels, supporting brand success, and coordinating promotional activities, all within a company recognized for its inclusive culture and industry leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell to accounts in assigned trade channel(s) and drive brand success through leadership selling and supporting sales teams.
  • Lead all parts of the sales process including targeting appropriate accounts, lead selling, education, and positioning brands for success within the account.
  • Monitor field implementation and execution of programs within assigned accounts to ensure proper product pricing and promotion.
  • Interact regularly with field management to update programming, brand priorities, standards, and best practices for successful market execution.
  • Provide detailed tracking reports of wholesaler performance against supplier objectives.
  • Develop key account relationships that deliver measurable results.
  • Work with key teams to meet monthly goals such as work-withs and product training samples.
  • Create, coordinate, and attend on-site promotional functions at customer accounts (e.g., tastings, product launches).
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of industry-related sales experience within distribution, hospitality, or supplier community.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator's license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Physical ability to sit, type, walk, bend, reach, stand, squat, stoop, and drive for segments up to 2 hours.
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 56 lbs.
  • This position is deemed safety-sensitive and requires passing a drug test after conditional employment offer.
