The Key Account Manager II (KAM II) is a salesperson responsible for meeting sales quotas and expense budgets for assigned clients by managing sales programs, promotional spending, distribution levels, shelf placement, and strategic planning initiatives. The role involves collaborating with clients to develop strategic plans, working with retailer associates on Headquarter calls, owning client relationships, and making decisions regarding trade funds to drive sales. The position also works closely with internal teams such as Customer Managers, order entry, claims, category management, schematics, and retail associates to increase sales volume within a market. Clients may include pioneering, regional, or Tier 3 manufacturers with varying distribution and volume levels.
