About the Role

This hybrid position is open to any qualified applicant in Charlotte, NC. Practice - AIA - Artificial Intelligence and Analytics. AI & Analytics focuses on designing the future where AI and data science replace trial-and-error decisions with informed, data-supported strategies. The team helps leading companies prototype, refine, validate, and scale AI and analytics products, providing flexible data structures and streamlined data architecture to transform data into meaningful intelligence. The role involves working on innovative projects within a company dedicated to transforming business through AI and data science.

Key Responsibilities

Building optimizing Data LakeHouse with Open Table formats
Kubernetes deployments and cluster administration
Transitioning on premise big data platforms to scalable cloud-based platforms like AWS
Managing Distributed Systems, Microservice architecture, and containers
Implementing Cloud Streaming use cases in Big Data Ecosystems such as EMR, EKS, Hadoop, Spark, Hudi, Kafka, Kinesis
Applying key technology abilities in AWS platform and services
Building/optimizing Data LakeHouse with Open Table formats
Managing Kubernetes deployments and cluster administration
Transitioning on-premise big data platforms to scalable cloud-based platforms like AWS
Working with Distributed Systems, Microservice architecture, and containers
Implementing Cloud Streaming use cases in Big Data Ecosystems (e.g., EMR, EKS, Hadoop, Spark, Hudi, Kafka/Kinesis)

Requirements

10+ years in an IT related role
Hands-on experience with Git Hib and Git Hub Actions
Good experience with AWS services including IAM, API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, Lake Formation, Glue (Catalog, ETL, Crawler), Athena, S3
Strong foundational concepts of object data store vs block data store, encryption/decryption, storage tiers
Good hands-on experience using Python
Skilled in EKS & Kubernetes, Apache Hudi, Flink, PostgreSQL, SQL, RDS
Java background
Experience with Terraform Enterprise
Helpful experience with Helm, Kafka, Kafka Schema Registry, AWS Services like CloudTrail, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, Aurora, EMR, Redshift, Iceberg, Vault, AWS Secrets Manager

Nice to Have

Experience with Helm, Kafka, Kafka Schema Registry
