About the Role

The Lead, Global Retail Brand Marketing role at NIKE, Inc. involves developing and driving retail brand marketing strategies at a global level across Direct and Wholesale partners. The position focuses on creating compelling storytelling and campaigns to enhance in-store and digital consumer experiences, with an emphasis on connecting with consumers, fueling their love of sport and the brand, and driving sales. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure brand consistency and impactful retail initiatives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Brand Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Nike Direct and Marketplace business teams to create storytelling direction and guidelines for key seasonal initiatives.
  • Understand both the art and science of marketing by obsessing over business insights, consumer behavior, and creative engagement strategies in store.
  • Manage the relationship with brand marketing, integrating retail marketing expertise into broader brand strategies.
  • Partner with Digital and Social Marketing teams to build holistic seasonal brand plans and ensure content supports the O2O consumer journey.
  • Collaborate with Brand Creative and Retail Creative teams to develop the vision for how seasonal retail campaigns are brought to life in-store.
  • Coordinate with Geo Brand and Retail Brand teams to ensure global strategies serve local needs, including translations and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field, or suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • 5+ years of retail brand experience, including building and implementing strategies.
  • Experience executing retail brand strategies in market and managing large fleet, vertical retail, and store openings.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, consumer shopping behaviors, retail journeys, and trends.
  • Passion for product and storytelling, with attention to detail.
  • Experience presenting to large teams and executive leadership.
  • Track record of implementing a test and learning approach.
  • Ability to analyze business and data to inform plans.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Pro-active problem-solving skills and ability to develop actionable solutions.
  • Ability to balance creativity with business needs, keeping the consumer at the center.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment.
  • Adaptability to changing business needs or directions.
  • Passion for Athlete, Sport, and Culture, with a collaborative approach.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in digital environments to drive traffic to stores.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Experience with global brand strategies and translations.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of retail brand experience.
