About the Role

As we expand our focus on delivering personalized user experiences, there is a growing need for a dedicated Lead Product Manager to drive backend personalization capabilities. This role will be critical in developing the systems that power real-time content delivery—ensuring the right content reaches the right audience at the right time, based on behavior and known preferences. A Lead Product Manager will provide strategic direction, align cross-functional teams, and accelerate the delivery of scalable personalization features that enhance engagement, conversion, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision.
  • Build and maintain the product roadmap.
  • Align and coordinate plans with dependent teams.
  • Co-lead sprint planning with engineering.
  • Participate in sprint reviews to assess outcomes and gather input.
  • Co-lead retrospectives to identify process or product improvements.
  • Continuously refine backlog and team practices.
  • Own discovery work, briefs, and documentation (Initiative, Feature, Epic, Squad).
  • Write user stories aligned with product goals.
  • Provide user and stakeholder training as needed.
  • Review and accept stories that meet acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure product meets quality and delivers user value.
  • Maintain product description, vision, and maturity materials.
  • Conduct market and user research to guide strategy.
  • Track key metrics, personas, journeys, and feature sets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar).
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on integrations & APIs, data modeling, data standards, and/or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of data protocols, identity management principles, and platforms.
  • Proven track record of successfully bringing complex products to market and driving adoption.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate product vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Sports, News and Entertainment space across the media industry.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • A passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data strategies and standards.
  • 2+ years designing and delivering world-class data delivery and modeling capabilities that solve complex organizational needs, specifically in large organizations with diverse needs.
  • Technically conversant and forward thinking in areas of owned-channel activation, orchestration, and AI optimization.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Knowledge of the Sports, News and Entertainment space across the media industry.
