Job Description

About the Role

The Lead QA engineer will participate in the constant development, integration, and maintenance of the Salesforce environment and other web applications. This hand-on position is responsible for QA SIT and UAT phases. Strong experience is required in both agile and standard project methodologies. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, developing automated tests, and leading a team of QA Engineers within Trimble's Cloud Core department. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and prepare detailed test plans.
  • Responsible for the QA, SIT, and UAT phases for Business Systems, ensuring the successful testing of Salesforce and other web applications.
  • Provide comprehensive testing metrics such as Test Case Execution Rate, Defect Density, Pass/Fail Rate, and Automation Coverage to track and report on daily progress and execution.
  • Track testing progress and ensure timely defect resolution by working closely with development teams.
  • Communicate test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders effectively.
  • Be a leader in establishing high standards for testing coverage and defect management.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests using tools like AccelQ and Selenium to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of QA Engineers, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of QA experience with a strong background in Salesforce testing.
  • Strong knowledge of the Salesforce Lightning UI version and Salesforce backend, including objects, fields, record types, and workflows.
  • Basic understanding of Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) and Salesforce Object Search Language (SOSL).
  • Experience with data migration and data integration testing.
  • Expertise in manual and automation testing of Salesforce and web applications.
  • Expertise in various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, integration, performance).
  • Experience in developing, maintaining, and executing automated tests using tools like AccelQ, Selenium, and Python.
  • Proven ability to track and report on testing execution metrics, including Test Case Execution Rate, Test Coverage, Defect Resolution Time, and Automation Coverage.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automation tools like AccelQ and Selenium.
  • Knowledge of Python scripting for test automation.
