Job Description

About the Role

The Lenovo Business Development Manager role at Insight involves selling Lenovo services and solutions to government accounts (Federal/State, Local & Education) within a defined geographic territory. The position requires collaboration with Public Sector Client Executives, Client Solutions Directors, Market Leaders, Partners, and internal resources to grow and facilitate new Lenovo solution sales opportunities. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through Lenovo consumption by building strong relationships with sellers and government clients, developing opportunities to closure, and expanding those opportunities by leading with Lenovo Services Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed quarterly sales targets by pursuing new opportunities within existing clients who have not purchased Lenovo software and services from Insight.
  • Effectively communicate Insight Public Sector's complete value proposition and go-to-market solutions to all organizational levels.
  • Qualify Lenovo opportunities and build a pipeline at least 2.5 times the sales target to ensure goals are met.
  • Lead negotiations and overcome objections to capture new Lenovo opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of industry trends related to Lenovo solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in Lenovo solution sales (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) solutions and services to public sector customers.
  • Proven track record of exceeding company objectives and sales quotas in federal, state, local, and education segments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Lenovo solutions and services in the public sector.

Qualifications

  • Experience in solution sales within the public sector, specifically in federal and SLED segments.
