Job Description

About the Role

In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google's users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. We achieve this by meeting partners and consumers where they are with support and help, representing their needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration, and more). The Localization team helps Google's ideas and products look, feel, and sound natural to users in their own countries. We collaborate with international teams to steer products through the localization process and ensure successful launches across the globe. In this role, you'll play a strategic role by building relationships with cross-functional partner teams to establish needs, deadlines, budgets, and product expansion globally. You will ensure that our localization process runs effectively and efficiently, and ensure Google's ideas and products look, feel, and sound natural to users across the globe. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Android, Play, YouTube) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you are in charge of driving the end-to-end localization process to ensure successful launches globally. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your role to keep all the players coordinated on project progress and deadlines.

  • Understand localization workflows and services, identify tool and process needs to enable operational scaling, collaborate with Operations and Engineering to support deployment, with guidance from the Portfolio Lead.
  • Partner with the Portfolio Lead to build compelling cases for new business opportunities, develop insightful recommendations, and drive development and implementation.
