About the Role

The Loyalty Marketing Events & Experiences Associate Manager at Nordstrom is responsible for leading the planning and implementation of targeted loyalty experiences aimed at engaging Nordy Club Members and Cardmembers across both Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack brands. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including the Loyalty team, to ensure alignment with the overall loyalty strategy, seamless experience implementation, and continuous optimization. The role will use insights and subject matter expertise to design and deliver best-in-class, new, and engaging experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in big, blue sky thinking to imagine new experiences and re-imagine and optimize existing experiences to best support the overall strategy.
  • Compile insights from past performance and customer feedback to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Define the loyalty experience strategy for Nordstrom and Rack, including exclusive events, Icon lounges (new openings and ongoing management), gifts, and other high-touch exclusive benefit experiences.
  • Own the strategy and delivery in support of Loyalty program needs including new loyalty event concept strategy, ideation and testing.
  • Plan, design, and oversee the delivery of loyalty experiences.
  • Collaborate with the Loyalty team to align on final plans and define and deliver an effective marketing strategy to support loyalty experiences that drive awareness and engagement.
  • Analyze and summarize experience performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Summarize learnings and recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sharing experience information, managing processes, and maintaining artifacts across different teams.
  • Ensure tools, forums, and artifacts are up-to-date and consistently executed against.

Requirements

  • Experience in event planning and execution, ideally within loyalty marketing or program management, in a retail or consumer-focused environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute complex event strategies and plans that drive significant customer engagement and business results.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate event strategies to diverse and senior-level audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams and build strong relationships with Loyalty, Brand Marketing, Media, Operations, Finance, Product, Analytics, and Engineering.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with a data-driven mindset and a strong focus on metrics and KPIs.
  • Proficiency with modern event management technologies and platforms, including event registration and marketing automation tools.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering best-in-class events that drive customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Passion for customer experience and a deep understanding of loyalty programs and customer engagement strategies.
