About the Role

The Director of Field Sales for MAC South West is responsible for leading the sales team, developing and executing market strategies, and ensuring the brand's premium positioning and growth in the region. The role involves close collaboration with marketing, managing retailer relationships, and overseeing sales operations to meet targets and maximize brand exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Brand GM to determine market potential and develop a distribution plan for the next 3 years.
  • Prepare and propose retail sales plans, ranking objectives, and market share targets by door to the Brand GM, and achieve fiscal and calendar year plans.
  • Ensure the brand's premium positioning is maintained despite rapid distribution expansion.
  • Develop and propose the business mix including promotional age, category, and inventory mix.
  • Prepare annual and monthly sales forecasts (sell-in and sell-through) and allocate resources based on budget.
  • Manage and allocate the T&E budget effectively.
  • Build and maintain retailer relationships to maximize brand exposure and growth opportunities at all doors.
  • Ensure marketing programs are executed according to guidelines and work closely with marketing teams to maximize door productivity.
  • Oversee proper allocation and use of sales tools such as samples and incentives.
  • Ensure counters follow merchandising and hygiene standards as directed by Visual Merchandising.
  • Monitor inventory levels and mix to reflect market trends and avoid overstock or out-of-stock situations.
  • Ensure efficient administration of sales activities including order flow, inventory management, and SOP execution.
  • Identify risks in the sales plan and propose corrective actions to meet targets.
  • Set up reporting systems for counters, supervisors, and regional managers, and review standard operating procedures periodically.
  • Provide analysis and reports on sales achievement, distribution ranking, competitor activities, and personnel issues.
  • Establish the sales team organization, set business objectives, and support team development.
  • Prepare annual headcount plans and build talent pools for various roles.
  • Review team productivity and performance regularly, address concerns, and implement improvement actions.
  • Conduct annual appraisals and work with training teams for development.
  • Recruit, coach, supervise, motivate, and develop the sales team, ensuring stability and morale.
  • Collaborate with the Brand GM on salary, incentives, KPI design, and performance tracking.
