Key Responsibilities

  • Under general direction of the Major Project Sales Director, responsible for the sale of enterprise-level, financially accretive building solutions to facility owners for large-scale new construction and renovation projects across key vertical markets including healthcare, education, and industrial clients.
  • Promote the JCI value proposition to C-level owner representatives and consultants by providing comprehensive solutions with well-defined ROI for the client's business and operational needs.
  • Leverage JCI's integrated HVAC products, Building Automation Systems (BAS), fire, security, and digital technology offerings to deliver upon building owner’s desired outcomes.
  • Execute the sales process to cultivate and manage long-term relationships while seeking out, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities.
  • Drive the sales process for complex and large-scale opportunities to support clients in developing modern, efficient, and digitally connected facility infrastructure.
  • Build partnering relationships to influence decision-making with owners or owner representatives, aligning with JCI products and services.
  • Identify and initiate contact with building owners or program managers responsible for decision making to generate demand for JCI’s products and services.
  • Partner with JCI Strategic Account Managers to develop business plans for assigned accounts, aligning offerings with key initiatives.
  • Use JCI sales process within project development to position JCI as a key partner, demonstrating technical knowledge and delivering solutions that meet client outcomes.
  • Address client operational and environmental objectives, recommending solutions that link client needs to total value and competitive advantage.
  • Prepare and present high-quality proposals, negotiate value, and secure agreements that deliver added value.
  • Utilize sales tools to develop market strategy, prioritize activities, and track opportunities through Salesforce, managing pipeline steps and milestones.
  • Lead opportunity teams, foster team relationships, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Construction industry knowledge required.
  • A minimum of seven to ten years of progressive field sales experience at the C-level and above.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction, engineering, or related discipline required.
  • Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in construction delivery methodology and key building systems such as DBIA, AIA, BMS.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels.
  • Ability to travel 50% (nationwide; virtually located position).

Nice to Have

  • MBA preferred.

Qualifications

  • Construction industry knowledge
  • 7-10 years of sales experience at the C-level and above
  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction, engineering, or related discipline
