Manager - Brand Marketing - Whitehaven

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee marketing activities for assigned brands with a 12-18 month horizon, providing clear strategic priorities for the team.
• Lead cross-functional partners to develop and execute strong brand plans aligned with company growth and profit objectives.
• Manage the P&L of assigned brands, actively managing trade-offs and brand health outcomes.
• Coach and mentor team members to execute marketing strategies effectively.
• Identify consumer opportunities, prioritize work across teams, and lead the brand strategic positioning process.
• Leverage pricing opportunities and optimize the brand portfolio for short-term profitability and long-term health.
• Articulate and manage brand architecture, developing and leading the Sixth Standard strategy to create sales activity and consumer engagement.
• Propose and align channel tactics, approve channel playbooks, and make investment trade-offs based on channel dynamics.
• Conduct monthly market visits to evaluate activation tools, respond to feedback, and identify emerging trends.
• Identify and execute innovative marketing methods, define test and learn parameters, and deliver innovation briefs.
• Propose marketing mix, budget, channels, and tactics to deliver proof of concept or potential.
• Deliver the Creative Platform and Communications Strategy, providing feedback and optimizing campaigns based on learnings.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations while fostering continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

• Master's degree plus 5 years of experience including 2 years of brand management experience with increasing responsibility; or Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of experience in sales, marketing, hospitality, engineering, or operations; or High School diploma plus 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in P&L management.
• Ability to influence and gain alignment with key stakeholders.
• Effective management of competing priorities with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% in-market and up to 5% for additional company-related travel.
• Must be 18 years or older.

• Master's of Business Administration degree plus 7 years of brand marketing experience with increasing responsibility.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a marketing or finance concentration plus 9 years of brand marketing experience.
• 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• Experience with IRI Circana.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• CPG, Pharmaceutical, or Alcohol beverage industry experience.
• Solid understanding of 3-tier distribution system.
• Brand strategy and positioning experience.
• On-premise marketing experience.
