About the Role

The Manager, Brand Partnerships, sits within the video production team and is responsible for securing external partnership funding to offset video and content production costs, collaborating with creative teams, artists, and external partners to develop strategic brand partnership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, and execute partnership opportunities to help offset video and content production costs.
  • Find new and inventive ways to partner with external brands across Columbia's roster.
  • Research and evaluate client needs, industry landscape, and market trends.
  • Identify and analyze new and innovative exposure and revenue generating opportunities for artists.
  • Work closely with product managers, artists, and artist managers to craft opportunities for external partners to integrate within existing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Licensing team and Business Affairs department on deal negotiations and contractual issues.
  • Coordinate with the Branding Agency team in York and Los Angeles to research and secure potential opportunities.
  • Partner with the Marketing & Digital Marketing department on online and mobile marketing strategies to maximize licensing and partnership opportunities.
  • Plan and execute artist showcases, listening parties, and events for retail, fashion, automotive, and sports media partners.
  • Work directly with artist management to execute promotional ideas and address management concerns.
  • Identify music that meets client needs and develop pitch decks to promote repertoire to potential partners.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of licensing, strategic marketing, or product/brand marketing experience in the entertainment industry.
  • Broad knowledge of music and a passion for the industry.
  • Previous licensing or branding experience required.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to develop and adhere to project timelines.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and see tasks through from inception to completion.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with artists and artist management.
  • Experience in digital marketing and online campaign planning.
  • Knowledge of licensing negotiations and contractual processes.
