The role of Manager, Commerce Media involves helping clients navigate the dynamic retail media landscape with expertise in commerce media strategies and strong retailer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop insight-backed retail media strategies for the agency's CPG clients across national and regional retailers using proprietary platforms, historical data, and relevant tools.
  • Manage in-platform teams and possess advanced knowledge of retail media platforms.
  • Manage retailer relationships, including Joint Business Planning (JBP) involvement and Annual Meetings.
  • Build collaborative relationships with key client stakeholders and partner agencies to develop and implement campaign strategies, resolve issues, share insights, and foster innovation.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders at assigned retailers and vendors to establish the agency and its clients as top-tier partners, including securing first-look access to beta and test & learn opportunities.
  • Stay updated on emerging platforms, retail media vendors, and trends, sharing new opportunities with clients.
  • Collaborate with Media Activation and Customer Development teams to oversee execution and optimization of media plans, ensuring they meet budget, timing, and performance goals.
  • Develop Points of View (POVs) on the value of different media vehicles for assigned retailers.
  • Partner with the National Media Team to share learnings, define, and track performance.
  • Help define and improve media strategy products and service offerings.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing effective retail media strategies.
  • Knowledge of retail search strategy and execution across platforms such as Criteo, CitrusAd, Pacvue, Amazon, WMC, Instacart, etc.
  • Strong existing relationships with key personnel at national or regional retailers and/or vendors is a plus.
  • Ambitious self-starter with ownership of work.
  • Passion for and strong knowledge of retail and omnichannel media landscape.
  • Creative and strategic thinker capable of solving complex challenges.
  • Dissatisfaction with the status quo and a drive to improve and grow.
  • Collaborative team player and good listener, able to challenge peers or clients when necessary.
  • Confident presenter and clear communicator of complex information (verbal and written).
  • Adept at analyzing results, synthesizing data, drawing insights, and developing actionable recommendations using relevant tools and platforms.
  • Understanding of Taxonomy.
