About the Role

The Manager, Digital Marketing, will lead digital, social media content, and fan community management initiatives for Virgin Music Group's roster of artists, focusing on constructing digital media campaigns, increasing fan engagement, and managing digital partnerships in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead digital, social media content, and fan community management initiatives for Virgin Music Group's roster of artists.
  • Construct comprehensive digital media album campaigns including tools and platforms to increase fan engagement and social media strategy.
  • Strategize digital narratives, short form video, and content aspects of digital marketing campaigns for a diverse roster of artists across multiple genres.
  • Manage cross-platform social media content calendars and digital fan engagement experiences.
  • Build and manage an artist's owned audience by increasing data capture via CRM strategies such as Pre-Save, SMS, and newsletter marketing.
  • Monitor social media and digital landscape for relevant trends, content opportunities, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with paid media department on digital advertising spends, budgets, and viral/creator campaign strategies.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors for content creation, fan building, and social community management.
  • Maintain professional relationships with artists, label, and management partners.
  • Utilize analytics platforms to assess campaign performance, identify amplification opportunities, and measure success.
  • Author campaign decks and presentation documents for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs (After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Apple iWork (Numbers, Keynote, Pages).
  • Experience with social media AR and Effect template creation tools (TikTok Effect House, CapCut, Spark AR, Snap Lens Studio).
  • Experience with audience and social media music analysis platforms (Chartmetric, Co:brand, MelodyIQ, Trendpop, YouTube Studio, Meta Business Suite).
  • Interest in gaming, metaverse, and innovation spaces.
  • Passion for social media and short form video marketing.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to create case studies and campaign reports.
  • Degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent career experience.
  • Music industry or artist relation experience.

  • Experience with digital marketing budget management.
  • Experience with content creation and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms beyond those listed.
  • Experience in campaign performance reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent career experience.
  • Music industry or artist relation experience.
