About the Role

The Key Account Manager is responsible for growing share by developing & maintaining strong relationships with A-B wholesalers, Region Team, and key stakeholders. The overall purpose of this position is to manage and execute A-B sales objectives at convenience, including volume, share, distribution, and assortment. The role requires organization, ambition, analytical skills, and dependability, with a focus on developing retailer relationships and executing sales strategies within Texas for a major beverage company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow sales and share within Texas business unit for the #2 Convenience retailer nationally
  • Primary account point of contact for Anheuser-Busch, owner of all results and execution at 600+ locations
  • Provide total account management, sell in of programs, and brand promotions
  • Direct and manage space management priorities
  • Maintain active communications with A-B region sales and wholesaler personnel
  • Balance relationship between retailer, wholesaler, and internal stakeholders
  • Evaluate strategies and action plans against allocated targets
  • Contribute to development and management of performance reviews and annual account plan
  • Strategize then selling of retailer pricing suggestions and retailer margin suggestions
  • Build in person relationships with retailer personnel and wholesaler stakeholders to deliver results

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in business, finance, marketing or related field preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Advanced computer software proficiency (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint)
  • High level of expertise in analyzing information and making information-based recommendations
  • Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software and measures is preferred
  • Effective communications/presentation, follow-up, administrative and organizational skills
  • Field and retail sales experience in the beverage industry or other consumer product industries
  • Ability to work cross functionally with sales, marketing and category teams to develop retailer specific program solutions
  • Understanding of adult beverage wholesaler network/processes and wholesaler equity agreement
  • Ability to work and drive positive results in a fast-paced, team environment
