Manager, Marketing Communications

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and executing a results-driven, multi-platform communications strategy and plan in line with corporate and brand direction while reflecting divisional priorities
• Creating and managing all marketing materials and collateral in line with brand direction
• Implementing online marketing activities including social media, SEO/SEM, demand generation, lead generation, etc.
• Tracking effectiveness of various campaigns and course corrections as required
• Managing communications spend and working with vendors and agencies to create and/or localize communications and marketing activities and develop supporting assets
• Leading the planning and implementation of PR and initiatives related to the brand
• Collaborating with other teams to identify the public voice of the Nordson brand
• Creating style guides and brand voice outlines for all public relations, marketing, advertising and other vital departments
• Consulting with executive management to develop communication procedures and policies for various situations or crises
• Drafting press releases and speeches following organizational news
• Writing letters, interdepartmental memos and other business correspondence
• Communicating with media outlets and journalists and creating press kits
• Developing materials to educate staff on communication practices
• Performing communications research and monitoring the progress of various communications strategies
• Creating marketing presentations for stakeholders

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
• Bachelor's degree required
• Exceptional communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening
• In-depth knowledge of best writing and messaging practices for business correspondence, public relations, advertising, marketing and sales copy and social media
• Ability to effectively engage with multinational team members of all levels and across departments
• Great project management skills, including goal-setting, multitasking, budget management and prioritization
• Good data analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Leadership abilities, including training and mentorship
• Ability to establish strong relationships with customers and partners in commercializing new products, including contract negotiation and go-to-market plans
• Proficiency with a CRM system
