About the Role

The Manager, Paid Media Planning & Strategy at Rippling is responsible for leading the company's paid social and programmatic marketing efforts. This role involves building, coaching, and managing a team of top-tier marketers to generate high-quality leads and build pipeline across multiple digital paid channels. The position requires close cross-functional collaboration with creative, content, growth, analytics, marketing operations, and GTM teams to drive growth and revenue, especially as Rippling scales towards and beyond $1B ARR. Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling offers a unified platform for HR, IT, and Finance management, with a focus on innovation, growth, and a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage 9-figure annual budgets efficiently by working with channel owners and growth leaders to optimize and deploy marketing dollars.
  • Establish the structure and processes to operate a centralized worldwide marketing team and coordinate tactical placements with strategic messaging.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to build and iterate on the most effective marketing mix.
  • Partner with growth, content, and analytics teams to share learnings, brainstorm, and report on results.
  • Create a measurement ecosystem with analytics to track KPIs throughout the funnel and maximize ROI.
  • Own reallocation efforts of marketing budgets based on campaign performance and success metrics.
  • Work with internal growth leaders to align strategies and audiences across the marketing stack.
  • Coordinate with external media providers to secure optimal placements in TV, Video, Podcast, and OOH channels and optimize impact.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in digital, programmatic, TV, and OOH media buying strategy.
  • Proven success in planning and optimizing cross-platform campaigns that deliver measurable performance.
  • Proficiency in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, YouTube, TikTok Ads, and display DSPs.
  • Experience with Linear Media buying strategy and metrics, and familiarity with CTV platforms such as Tatari or MNTN.
  • Ability to approach OOH with a performance marketing mindset.
  • Experience collaborating with growth, marketing, creative, and finance teams.
  • Platform fluency in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and understanding platform nuances.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to analyze large data sets to inform strategies.
  • Deep understanding of measurement and attribution, with experience in Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) a plus.
  • BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
