Marketing & Fundraising Director

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic marketing and brand visibility efforts to elevate awareness of the organization's services.
• Guide integrated campaigns across print, digital, and media platforms targeting patients, families, donors, and partners.
• Oversee development of mission-aligned materials supporting fundraising and outreach.
• Ensure alignment between fundraising communications and marketing strategy.
• Manage public relations efforts including press releases, media engagement, and executive visibility.
• Lead the Sales & Business Outreach Manager in developing and executing provider and business development strategies.
• Foster sustainable partnerships with healthcare providers, referral sources, leaders, and officials to promote access to care.
• Represent the organization in coalitions, forums, and advocacy groups to advance healthcare priorities.
• Develop and lead diversified fundraising strategies including individual giving, corporate sponsorships, grants, capital campaigns, planned giving, and major gifts.
• Oversee grant strategy, writing, compliance, reporting, and stewardship.
• Partner with staff to assess funding needs and design grant projects supporting innovation.
• Drive donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to grow major and recurring gifts.
• Support Board engagement through updates on philanthropy and strategic initiatives.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
• Foster inter-departmental collaboration and continuous improvement practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare marketing and fundraising.
• Understanding of healthcare reimbursement and value-based payment models.
• Ability to identify market opportunities, understand customer needs, and develop value-driven solutions.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with B2B growth development efforts in healthcare.
• Proven track record in developing donor and community engagement strategies.
• Strong leadership, team development, change management, and people management skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, storytelling, and proposal writing skills.
• Master's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field.
