About the Role

The Marketing and Social Media Intern is responsible for assisting the Marketing Team with marketing initiatives while providing customer service. The role offers valuable sales and marketing experience by engaging peers through social media content creation, event support, and promoting campus programs. This internship is open to students at Lawrence Technological University who enjoy a fast-paced environment and want to enhance their campus experience.

Key Responsibilities

Act as an expert regarding meal plan options, campus locations, and overall dining services program
Utilize tools and technology available to sell meal plans
Staff meal plan/dining program information tables
Regularly create and assist in maintaining social media content
Assist in all marketing event setup, execution, and breakdown
Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
Adhere to safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation
Thrive in an autonomous work environment
Ensure security of company assets

Requirements

Current Lawrence Technological University student
Interest in Marketing field
Previous experience in event management and social media is a plus

Nice to Have

Previous experience in event management
Experience with social media

Qualifications

Interest in marketing
Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing
Willingness to wear uniforms and/or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
