About the Role

Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. At Charter One we pride ourselves on our thorough knowledge of charter school operations, academics, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, and more. We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly. We are currently looking for a Marketing & PR Coordinator at our district office in Wake Forest, NC. This position would require a successful completion of a background check.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists in the creation of creative content for infographics, tri-folds, banners, school materials for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team on the planning and execution of campaigns and strategies.
  • Monitor public and media opinion of Charter One, its clients, and employees. Support positive brand and reputation management efforts for all stakeholder groups.
  • Support copywriting and editing for press releases, media pitches, articles, speeches, newsletters, websites, and social media content.
  • Collaborate with manager on earned and owned media placements.
  • Track and monitor lead data across multiple Charter One client charter schools.
  • Support the planning and execution of marketing and public relations events for Charter One and its clients.
  • Prepare campaign and lead marketing reports as assigned by manager.
  • Support the purchase, tracking, and expense entry of select client-related purchases as assigned by manager.
  • Help ideate internal and external marketing and communication through brainstorming, problem-solving, and new storytelling methods.
  • Assist with multiple projects as assigned by manager and leadership, and work independently in a detail-oriented, fast-paced, fun, innovative, and deadline-driven environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google email.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with social media and email marketing.
  • Proficient in Wrike project management software.
  • Proficient with Constant Contact email marketing platform.
  • Experience with project and client management.
  • Previous advertising agency experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, or related field preferred.
  • At least two years of marketing and public relations experience preferred.
