About the Role

The Social Media and Marketing Intern will support the Business Development department by leading social media campaigns, conducting market research, and creating strategic marketing initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance the company's online presence and drive engagement. The position is based in Reno, NV, and is ideal for someone currently working towards a degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business, Communications, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
Create, schedule, and publish content across various social media platforms.
Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools.
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Assist in the creation and execution of strategic marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with the design team to produce visually appealing content.
Engage with followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

Currently working towards a degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Strong understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to create engaging content and visuals.
Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Google Analytics).
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
