About the Role

The Marketing Consultant at JW Marriott plays a strategic role in enhancing the property's visibility, guest engagement, and revenue across gaming, hospitality, and culinary offerings. The role involves adhering to company policies, fostering teamwork, providing excellent guest service, and building brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize current direct mail programs, including inner/middle offers and drive-and-fly offers.
  • Review segmentation and re-investment rate by tier and provide recommendations based on the comp set.
  • Review six months of historical results and recommend testing strategies for improved performance.
  • Strengthen facility hotel marketing efforts to increase visits and occupancy from the casino database.
  • Utilize industry best practices to book additional room nights.
  • Work with marketing and player development teams to optimize their use of the OPTX program.
  • Support optimization of the player development team, ensuring tasks are aligned in the OPTX program and tied to incentives.
  • Lay out six-month strategic calendars focused on player growth across all segments.
  • Build a special events calendar for the next six months.
  • Assist with the property rebranding to the Resort at Summerlin.
  • Assess the marketing team's current performance and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, communications, journalism, business management/administration or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in casino or hospitality marketing.
  • Strong understanding of Las Vegas market dynamics and customer behavior.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, CRM, and analytics tools.
  • Creative direction and content development skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments (casino operations, food & beverage, HR, events).
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Five years of Marketing Management experience, preferably in the hospitality/service/local gaming industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and outside counsel.
  • Ability to work in various environments including office, casino floor, outdoor areas, and tolerate noise, temperature, and air quality variations.
  • Requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, eye/hand coordination, and use of standard office equipment.

Nice to Have
