Marketing Director, Fine Fragrance Division

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the US Marketing strategy based on corporate goals, using a foundation of consumer insight, creativity and client understanding.
• Manage the US marketing team and lead their development.
• Serve as the US liaison with global marketing representatives.
• Work closely with the head of sales and the head of creation to define the Symrise strategy in the US.
• Be the team expert on the Fine Fragrance and Specialty Bath categories and our clients.
• Identify and execute marketing initiatives for clients that detect gaps in their business leading to growth opportunities for Symrise.
• Develop strong relationships with perfumers and provide inspiration to drive new fragrance expressions.
• Identify emerging consumer trends and themes and apply them to Fine Fragrance.
• Develop best-in-class client presentations from brainstorming to final execution.
• Strengthen and support the vision, values, and mission of Symrise to achieve sales goals.
• Coordinate with the global marketing department to ensure North America goals align with global strategies.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred.
• Fragrance industry experience required.
• Must have 8+ years relevant marketing experience in beauty and/or luxury goods industries.
• Experience managing a team.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with high attention to detail.
• Polished, professional presentation style.
• Highly creative and strategic thinker.
• Passionate about beauty and fragrance.
• Self-starting, independent, reliable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (required).
• Master's degree (preferred).
